Dear Bob,
Just sending this on to you if you're looking for items for the CAR newsletter/website.
Mum and Dad very successfully climbed Carrantouhill in July with their daughter (my sister) Shauna (who unfortunately is not in the attached photo).
This has been a life ambition for both of them to do and, as the years were going on, it seemed as if this challenge was slowly getting out of their reach but, oh no, not Jack and Jean - they were not going to be beaten and off they set on their ambition on 11th July 2010 and successfully climbed Carrantouhill.
I think this is a super achievement for anybody to do and, especially taking into account their age. I'd say Dad is one of the few 70 year olds who has ever climbed this mountain.
So on the 11th July Jack and Jean were "The Highest Swingers in Town"
